With rapid development of the national economic and towns building, fire accidents increase rapidly. The fire accidents were diversification. So the risk was high and the difficult was growing in the fire fighting. The fire water monitor becomes indispensable and more important component in the fire fighting. The fire water monitor has the characteristics of strong power and high flow. It can extinguish the fire efficiently and fast, and also can prevent the life and properties of victims. It can prevent the fire man from harmful accidents. The effect of fire water monitor becomes more important in fire fighting. The hydraulic performances of the fire water monitor directly influence the fighting quality. In connection with the problems of design, produce and application in domestic, the hydraulic performance research and structural optimization of the fire water monitor becomes necessary.The PS100 type fixed fire water monitor was designed according to the existing theory of the fire water monitor, the experimental data and test experience. The optimization of the whole machine structure was carried out, and the key components were examined. Some hydraulic performance of the PS100 type fixed fire water monitor was calculated in theory. The simulation of the channel and the outlet jet was carried out and analyzed using the Fluent kits. It verified the rationality of the fire water monitor. Some different flow channel was modeling and simulated. The simulation results can shows the flow pressure and velocity in the inner channel. The hydraulic performance influence of the different flow structure was analyzed. The influence discipline to the hydraulic performance of the flow structure was obtained. Therefore the better flow structure to the hydraulic performance can be chosen, and the channel structure of the monitor can be optimized. The change of the direct jet and spray jet was analyzed. The jet influence discipline of the nozzle structure and the outlet boundary layer was analyzed. And the distinguish criterion of the jet quality was obtained. In the premise of the requirements, the fire water monitor structure made compact, beautiful and streamlined appearance as much as possible.The PS100 type fixed fire water monitor was optimized feather more. The mathematic model of design was established. According to the similarity principle, the fire water monitor's structural parameters similarity analysis was carried out to the coincidence similarity monitor. The fire water monitor actual jet experiment was carried out based on the theoretical analysis. The experiment was the final verification of the design theory. A structural parameter design method of the fixed fire monitor was obtained through the theoretical analysis and the experimental verification. It can reduce the design cost and improve the design efficiency.The hydraulic performance of the fire water monitor was optimized through the Fluent simulation. The similarity can spread different serial fire water monitor design and some relevant water machine optimization. It can reduce the design capital and increase the design efficiency. It offered some relevant theory basis to the design and produce of new type fire water monitor.
