High-speed centrifugal pump is one of infrastructures of modern mechanical industry. Itplays an increasingly important role in industrial production, and widely used in many industriesof aerospace, petrochemical, energy, pharmaceutical, mining, pulp and paper. The structure ofhigh-speed centrifugal pump is complex. The speed-raising system of High-speed centrifugalpump use two-stage gear system. The speed of high speed shaft can up to tens of thousands ofrevolutions per minute. In such conditions, the rolling bearing wear is more serious, and will beaccompanied by a lot of noise. In contrast, the work of sliding bearings is stable, reliable, nonoise, the smaller the loss of surface friction and surface wear, and has shock-absorbing capacity.Therefore, the high-speed shaft of high-speed centrifugal pump uses sliding bearing support.Being one of the important parts of high speed centrifugal pump, Thrust bearing is used tosupport rotating spindle and bear large axial loads. Its performance is directly related to highspeed pump reliability and operating life. With the development of high-speed centrifugal pumptechnology, continuing increased speed of the spindle challenged sliding bearing's stability andload capacity. So study on the load capacity of sliding bearing is very necessary. The thesis usesthe finite volume method to study the load capacity of the thrust sliding bearing. Its purpose is toimprove the safety and reliability of high-speed pump operation, extend the life of the bearingsand reduce costs.Use Ansys-CFX software to do the three-dimensional numerical simulation of the internalflow field of LMV-311high-speed centrifugal pump. Calculate the distributions of the radial andaxial loads. The finite volume method is applied to the dynamic and static characteristics analysisof thrust sliding bearing. Establish the framework model about the lubrication performanceanalysis of a sliding bearing. First of all, set up the static and dynamic Reynolds control equation.Mesh the grid. Transform the equation into dimensionless mode. Complete the discretization ofthe equation by Finite volume method. Use Matlab software to write a program to solve theequation with iterative method. Based on the results, we can calculate the bearing carryingcapacity, stiffness and damping data. Analyze the effects caused by the variations of rotationalspeed and initial film thickness parameters. Run the flow field motion simulation of thrust slidingbearing with Ansys-Fluent software. Calculate the axial force, and compare the result with thenumerical results. Verify the correctness of the numerical theoretical calculations.Studies have shown that the thrust sliding bearing has advantages of high load capacity,good stability. It can meet the requirements of high-speed shaft of high-speed centrifugal pump. By deeply studying the performances of the thrust sliding bearing, thesis offers theoreticalreferences for the engineering design and application and a theoretical basis for further study.
