As an energy efficient heating mode, central heating has become a major form of heating in northern China. With the acceleration of the urbanization progress, building energy consumption will hold a very high proportion of the total energy consumption in our country, and heating energy consumption holds a very high proportion of building energy consumption. In the existing central heating system, it is common that the hydraulic imbalance is resolved through the excessive heat supply, but then new imbalances are also formed, and cause the phenomenon of the vicious cycle of energy waste. For the hydraulic imbalance between buildings, the most effective solutions is the implementation of the system Supply Water Temperature Regulation of Single Building (SWTR). Four-way water mixer is a new type of heat supply network equipment that is suit to the requirements of building regulation. Four-way water mixer is characterized by the pressure decoupling and double-way water mixing. Four-way water mixers heating system makes possible that two levels of network operate in different temperature difference, users can regulate the heat load by themselves, avoiding local overheating and the heat source avoids the excessive heating. So, studies on the performance of four-way water mixers heating system are necessary.First, The operation and regulation strategy of four-way water mixers heating system have studied. In this section, The reasons of the operation and regulation of heating system are separated from practice have studied, and derive a practical modified model for the formula of heating regulation, including the modified model for the radiator heating formula and radiant floor heating formula.Second, the SWTR demonstration project with four-way water mixers is tested, the modified model for the radiator heating formula is proved, reaches a conclusion that the building entrance use the system of SWTR with four-way water mixers can ease the problem of indoor overheating. And the decoupling characteristic of four-way water mixers is proved.Finally, the application of four-way water mixers in the energy metering of heating system have studied. The regulation strategies of four-way water mixers and the control of four-way water mixers at the building entrance in the energy metering of heating system is analyzed.
