With the long-term development of social economy and people's leaving conditions, cars have been generally accepted as the main trafic tools. The energy crisis that brought by economical development has become a public concern, so electric vehicles which are energy-saving and environment-friendly, have become the research focus recent years. The key technologies in electric vehicles(EV) involve in body and chassis technology, drive technology and resource technology.This paper carried out research on the PMSM driving and control system used in EV and analyzed its systematical structure and working mechanism. The author made an intensive research on the PMSM driving and control system, and implemented the drive and control on the basis of Infineon 32-bit micro-controller.Firstly, the paper set up the mathematical model of EV power system, discussed its dynamic equations and analyzed EV's different working conditions, gaining the power flow. And then, this paper decided the PMSM parameters and constructed the driving system according to EV's entire quality requirement. Besides, the author also carried out simulations for the PMSM vector control model and established the EV PMSM control strategy.Secondly, this paper made a detailed analyze on the EV PMSM control strategy—Field Oriented Control (FOC) and Magnet Weakening Control (MWC) and explained the FOC principles and implementation method, comparing the effects of the systematical parameters. Besides, the author made simulations with MATLAB/SIMULINK, and analyzed the two control strategies. Simulation results showed the effectiveness of the control strategy.Finally, the paper set up the experimental platform on the basis of TC1166 micro-controller and designed the hardware circuits. And also, this paper accomplished the three phase SVPWM algorithm based on the general timer unit(GTU), designed the interrupt timing sequence and software flow chart, established the ADC trigger mechanism, and finished the PMSM control software programming. And experiments were made on the hardware platform. The simulation and experimental results show that the EV PMSM control strategy proposed in this paper was correct and was able to satisfy the system requirement.
