In this research, landscape system, including greenspace layout, trees selection, road greening, residential area greenspace, was studied in present urban area in combination with overall plan of Xi'an international trade & logistics park (XITLP). We tries to explore the way to improve the landscape in XITLP by sectorization layout and design of greenspace. The main results are described as follows:1. Green layout. The factors that influenced layout and design of greenspace were research.2. Plants selection. The tree species were investigated and categorized in Xian and XITLP. The directory of tree species that fit for the greening design in XITLP was formed. The project of tree species layout in XITLP was also put forward.3. The road greening. The base rules for road greening was studied. Landscaping on Shade tree, green belt, traffic island was represented. Especially, landscape designs on landscape-type motorways, protection-type motorways and expressway, overpass and freight line were thoroughly described. At last, the common problems in road planting were generalized, the corresponding proposes to the problems were offered.4. Residential landscape. Basic work on landscape layout and design for large residential area was made certain. Design thinking of overall co-ordination was brought forward. Design of outdoor activity yard, characterizing design of residential area, and sectorization design of residential area were studied, respectively.5. Protection-type greenspace. The rules of planning and design of XITLP were put forward. Structure and model of protection-type greemspace, and community structure were studied.
