Study On Landscape Design Of Welcome Boulevard In Jinghai County, Tianjin

As an important part of city road landscape, greenbelt takes a large part of city greenery coverage, not only improving city environment, but also reflecting the spirit of city. With the developing of economy and increasing demand of life quality, welcome boulevard which embodies image of city and quality of landscape has become a research hotspot.Generally, welcome boulevard which has great width and more landscape space possesses nice site and landscape condition, or takes an important part of city communication network. Therefore, a nice landscape of city welcome boulevard not only embodies the feature of the city, but also the spirit. In resent years, many cities have invested considerable sum of money and manpower into road landscape, aiming to improve city environment.Beginning from the conception of city road landscape, this study systematically analyzed the landscape of welcome boulevard in many aspects, such as theory, road type, landscape spatial form, landscape function, influence factor, and design principles, and using the result as theoretic framework to guide the research of landscape design of welcome boulevard. Furthermore, this study took landscape design examples such as Xuzhou Welcome Boulevard, Tianjin Avenue, and Chengdu Longquanyi Landscape Road as practice research objects, analyzing them from aspects as vegetation diversity, design variety, and community stability to guide the design of welcome boulevard.In the final part of the thesis, based on systematic analysis of road environment condition and landscape condition, this study took the landscape design of Tianjin Jinghai County Welcome Boulevard as example. In this case, according to the local condition, the designer applied ecological design theory into practice, dividing the landscape into 3 themes of greenbelt: welcoming array, welcome ceremony, and welcome parade. Meanwhile, aiming to improve eco-environment, city spirit and local economic development, the author discussed the design idea, methods, and relative theories of Tianjin Jinghai County Welcome Boulevard design, tying to provide experience of road landscape design to other cities of China.
