Currently, new emerging technologies and materials of the interior design is developing rapidly, which is greatly enriched the design results of the form, and affects change the concept design thinking. Meanwhile, the increasing emphasis of people to environmental protection and concept of sustainable development changes the pattern of traditional materials. The plain truth is that materials driven design has increasingly become a trend and direction. It is that polymer materials are rookie of the field. And it brings not only a significant change in the material field, but also interior design. Learning the characteristics of polymer materials is to the benefit of the designer to create a suitable indoor environment through the selection and control of materials. Otherwise, the practice of polymer materials in interior design by designers can promote the improvement and innovation of polymer material; also, promote the development of polymer materials science.This paper deals with the combine way of technology and art to discuss the application of polymer materials in interior design. First, through carding polymer materials which apply in interior design, we summarize its physical and chemical properties; analyze its production and processing technology, and its impact of technology on subsequent product.; Secondly, we discuss the beauty of technology in consideration of technology and art links.; And aiming at the impact of polymer materials to interior design, setting forth polymer products, listing merit and demerit, and showing expressive force of polymer materials in interior design; Finally, in accordance with actuality, explaining development tendency of polymer materials in interior design.Through this paper, we can guide polymer materials to apply in interior design. With a view to have following basis of polymer materials in interior design for synthesis of polymer materials is more targeted.
