With the rapid growth of domestic economy, our civil aviation business and air transportation are continuously increasing. All the aviation departments are confronted with unprecedented opportunities as well as drastic challenges. Airport, as one of the three major aviation departments, is yet constantly built and rebuilt. However, building airports is an enormous project with great investments. It costs lots of time as well as manpower. Even, the number of airport and the amount of airport resources can not follow the pace of civil aviation development. The limitation of airport resources is gradually becoming the restraint of civil aviation growth. So, at the same time of building new airports, studying how to distribute airport resources reasonably and effectively is gradually placing a big problem before us.Gate, as well as called stand, is one of core resources of airport. Whether its distribution reasonable and effective or not, it has great matter with airport's efficiency and benefits. Also it can affect the benefits of many aviation departments. The paper places gate assignment as the main perspective. Both civil and abroad research status is summarized. Based on exist models, the balance of gate free time and maximum of gate application as the multi-target model is built. Linear- transformation is use to convey our model to simple one. Discussed the algorithm used to solve the model, and a brief introduction of the current intelligent algorithm is given. Genetic algorithm is designed to settle the above model, as well as the genetic operators redesigned. The genetic algorithm designed before is realized by computer C language. The program is tested by an example and the ideal result is obtained. The speed of program and result of the model-test is evaluated.
