Study found that:①Adding polyphosphoric acid to reduce the penetration of asphalt, Softening point, viscosity increases, the 5℃ductility than the value of asphalt is slightly lower. show that the polyphosphoric acid to improve asphalt temperature properties and high temperature stability, low temperature cracking resistance of asphalt had no significant effect.Add polyphosphoric acid will increase the degree of aging of asphalt.②Adding polyphosphoric acid,the high temperature performance of asphalt mixtures increased,reduce the stability of water, no significant effect on low temperature performance.③Adding polyphosphoric acid,the colloidal structure of asphalt changes,structure of the asphalt from the sol-gel into a sol-gel-type. ④Polyphosphoric acid to the asphalt mixing is a physical blending process, and with good compatibility with asphalt,even distributed in the asphalt,which has good heat storage stability.
