Power head is a key component of rotary drilling rig. Its quality and life directly affects the efficiency of rotary drilling rig and safety of construction. The gearing drive equipment of power head mainly passing low-speed and big torques in working. For bearing to alternate load, fatigue failure of gearing drive equipment becomes the major way of failure for rotary drilling rig power head. Take the full-life virtual predict to gearing drive equipment of power head at the design stage, then modification and optimization on the weak module can largely to extend the service life of power head. It treats small rotary drilling rig which drills depth less than 40 meters and diameter less than 1200mm operating in clay As the research object. and carried out the following aspects of studying:1)Structure parameters of the power head has been gotten by theory calculation firstly in this article. Then create the 3D model of power head by PRO/E and take simulation of kinematical analysis to inspect whether the model is correct.2)Take dynamic simulation by ADAMS software. Then calculation and analysis the force conditions of gearing drive equipment in power head combined with the actual conditions of power head. I also studied the impact on contact force that loading speed and the driving wheel distribution in different angles in this article, and access load spectrum of gear under standard conditions.3) Take finite element analysis to get the stress spectrum of the weakest part of the gear under standard conditions, using ANSYS software and combining with the load spectrum obtained from ADAMS. Then compared the stress spectrum with the theoretical stress and put forward the optimize views.4) Using MSC.FATIGUE combining with the stress spectrum, we can simulate drilling to predict the fatigue life of gears.I can get the results by studying and analysis as following: loading speed do a great influence on the initiation impact load; the distribution of phase angle of driving wheel to such parallel shaft gears make a great impact in contact force, distribution with 90°and 180°of the most stable; The theory calculation and simulation analysis results to gearing drive equipment of power head are similar, the design can meet the requirements of strength and life to some extent;...
