Reactor Rod Control System is an important part of nuclear power plants. It is a key reactor control technology, system complexity, high reliability. Whether it is operation safe, reliable and economic for the unit depends largely on the performance of the reactor rod control system level. Autonomy and localization of nuclear power is an important way to development of nuclear power. Currently most systems and equipments in Chinese nuclear power plants have already achieved self-reliance.But because of its important position and its technological complexity,the reactor control system in nuclear power plants has not been designed to achieve self-reliance and the long-term dependence on imports,. hindered the development of the nuclear power industry in China.This paper introduces the reactor control rods system in China and abroad. The writer made the research of the reactor control rods system in Daya bay nuclear power plant, Qinshan nuclear power plant, Tianwan nuclear power plant, EPR Third-generation nuclear power technology in French and AP1000. Third-generation nuclear power technology in America. By means of a digestion and absorption of foreign advanced technology, we will gradually form Chinese brands of digital rod control technology . This paper introduces system function requirement, equipment design requirement and the interface with other system. And then it forms the final design program: 1) define the layout principle of control rod and the operation principle of rod control system according to requirement of current reactor type; 2) Define Standards and recommendations in China and aboard to be obey; ensure that the system designed to meet the nuclear safety requirements; 3) Analysis of design bases and define performances; 4) This paper define the reactor control subsystem program, rod drive subsystem program and rod position monitoring and display subsystem program; 5) define the whole system control principle, define the temperature control logic and power control logic.
