As the acceleration of the domestic train speed and the improvement of railway electromagnetic standard, the electromagnetic interference from the train offline arc is becoming people's concern. The electromagnetic interference produced by offline arc will cause electromagnetic pollution, affecting the normal work of train and all sorts of electrical equipment along the route. Whereas the previous study about offline arc, mainly concentrated on the analysis of the over-voltage of the offline arc and the damage of the joint touch pantograph-catenary. So it is essential to research on the electromagnetic interference of the pantograph-catenary offline arc and to put forward to using the conducted interference produced by high-pressure line and the loading ferrite. This essay is firstly concentrate on the physical characteristics, mathematical model, and the equivalent radiating antenna of the offline arc electromagnetic interference in theory. Then by measuring the arc spectrum, waveform through laboratory, and carrying on a field test and data analysis in a high railway, we could receive the interference frequent and amplitude of the offline arc electromagnetic interference, and provide theoretical and data support of the curb measures. Finally, we carry out the offline arc electromagnetic interference detection system, my mainly responsible is on the parts of software interface and data processing. Through the validating of experiment and field testing, this system satisfies the demand of design. It can measure the interference spectrum of the offline arc and determine the internal interference frequency, amplitude and location of the train rapidly.
