In the Past two decades,the wind effects on the construction,such as super high-rise buildings,the long span spatial structures and light-weight buildings,are largely strengthened. So wind load is the one of dominated loads to these buildings. How to calculate wind effect on the buildings is one of the hot issues in the both the theory and engineering domains. With the development of computational technology,Computational Wind Engineering (CWE) draws more and more attention and plays a more and more important role in the wind engineering community by its unique merits and promising prospect. At the same time,more and more complex-shape buildings are coming forth the building forms described in the relevant codes are no longer match the complex shapes of the buildings. Under such cases,we usually derive the wind-induced pressures distribution on the surface of the buildings by wind tunnel test whether at home or abroad.Based upon CFD software--FLUENT,this thesis focuses on the numerical simulation of vortex-induced vibrition for the sight tower of Chang Zhou East meridian 120.The theories and basic characters of CFD were introduced firstly,and the principal and methods of how to decide the flow area,grid,boundary conditions, turbulent model and calculation parameters were summarized in this thesis.Secondly, for this project done wind tunnel test related research. The wind tunnel test turbulent field and a uniform flow analysis of the two cases, research on building in the role of wind load and wind induced vibration characteristics, provide the basis for structure design. Pneumatic elastic model test's main purpose is to obtain the wind may cause the vortex-induced vibration, the chattering, aeroelasticity, etc, thus the wind-induced vibrations of wind resistance comprehensive evaluation, and characteristics of the wind induced vibration get standard requirement coefficient.Again,the tower appear on vortex-induced vibration phenomenon is numerically simulated.Numerical simulation is divided into 2d and 3d model simulations. RNG k-εseparately with two search-evade antagonistic and LES turbulence model to calculate the data with software is the vortex-induced vibration frequency conversion of value.Finally, the data using the software is the vortex-induced vibration frequency conversion of wind tunnel test and numerical compares analyzed, finally detailed calculation and experimental value difference between the reason. Through the concrete engineering analysis shows that the numerical simulation is reliable, using computational fluid dynamics method for building the vortex-induced vibration research is feasible.
