Base-iaolation is one of anti-seismic design methods which develop fast in recent years. By allocating isolated equipment between the bottom of structure and the top of the foundation, which absorbs and dissipates the earthquake energy to reduce earthquake wave forward upper structures, thus deeply reduces the responses of structures.In this paper, the seismic reduction effectiveness and Earthquake response of frame-shear wall structure building adopting Base seimic isolaition is studied. A finite element etabs program used to dynamic time history analysis was developed to analyze the character of the structure. And a twelve stories frame structure with basement isolation, a same structure with basement isolationâ… and a same structure with basement isolationâ…ˇare analyzed as a example in this paper. The El-cantor earthquake wave was inputted on the structure. Some useful results are obtained through lots of comparative analysis.The research results illustrate that frame-shear wall structure with basement isolation can reduce the horizontal earthquake response of structure effectively compared with traditional technique. This method is very effective, base shear, floor deformation, acceleration of isolation structure is less than no isolation structure. At the sometime, because of structure seismic functionary decrease, seismic measure is less than no isolation structure distinctly. Accordingly obtain lower building price and improved house useful function.
