In density urban area, Subway tunnel construction will inevitably cause strata movement and deformation, and then cause damage to the adjacent buildings. In city, it is a big concern for engineer to obtain the buildings subsidence patterns due to construction of shield tunnel and to gain the real-time settlement information of building automatically, and then use them to evaluate or estimate the safe state of buildings.This article base on Hang Zhou metro line 1 Qiu Tao Road subway station~Railway Station interval shield tunnel project. The main purpose is to analyze the subsidence patterns of ground surface caused by the tunnel construction, then to decide the ground surface subsidence allowance and ultimate value, and use them as warning value for the remote automatic real-time monitoring system. The article mainly includes the following parts.1. Analyze the basic rule of ground surface settlement by the construction of a shield tunnel, and then analyze the building settlement caused by the construction of a shield tunnel.2. Analysis of the main influence factors of shield tunneling nearby buildings is conducted, which includes the structure form and classification, the spatial relationship between buildings and tunnel, tunnel excavation parameters etc. A typical building is choose for simulation, this strip foundation building was constructed in 1982, which have five floors, buried depth is 15.58m, and embedded depth is 1.2m and the left line of the tunnel pass through the building below. The main propose of this research is to find the settlement patterns and structural mechanical characteristics of a building caused by the tunnel construction.3. According to the truth that Hang Zhou metro line 1 shield tunnel project which is not suitable for using traditional manual monitoring method, a remote automatic real-time monitoring method is proposed to meet the need of tunneling. The ground surface subsidence allowance and ultimate value is used as warning value for the remote automatic real-time monitoring system, and then evaluate the safe state of construction.
