The Research On Exterior Space Design Of The Creative Industry Clustering Park In Shanghai

In the 21st century there is a huge focus on knowledge and culture, creative industry have been flourished among developed countries all over the world. Meanwhile, a burst of creative industry clustering park is taking place in shanghai. During 2000 to 2009, we witnessed different kinds of unique district of creative industry being built. The exterior space is a crucial component for reflecting the features of creative district.Based on research on the existing creative industry clustering park, this article talks about three ways of categorization:" Exterior Space of creative production district Generated by renovation of Industrial buildings", "Exterior Space Generated by creative production district by renovation of Inner corridor" and "complete new exterior space of creative production district." Also it talks about the advantages and disadvantages among those three categories from micro-scale to big-scale experiences, and proposes "design of space" and " establishing environment" as a reference for comparison.The focus is to describe the 3 ways of "design of space" based on the " formation of spatial layout", "organization of architecture", "the scale of exterior space" and "distribution of streets". And describe the "constructing environment" in terms of "architectural interface", " public installations and services","pavement", "green and water bodies", "eco-design".Then from an urban point of view, this article researches the principles for exterior space design of creative industry clustering park in Shanghai in order to provide valuable references for similar proposals.Finally it will integrate the theories, methodologies and practice into a holistic summary for reexamining the research of the academic approach.
