Research On The Noise Characteristics And Noise Control Technology Of Automobile Chain

The chain rotation system of automobile engine is used widely with many merits, such as tense structure, high-reliability and wear resistance and so on. However, the automobile chain works most under the environment of the high-speed, alternating of speed and load, its power and speed exceeds the rating of the common chain with the same pattern. Therefore, the design method of automobile chain should be different from the common one as well as the failure mode and determination. However, noise as one of the important indicators which influences the automobile chain even the high-speed function of the whole automobile becomes the key technology which needs to be solved. Starting the research of noise characteristics and noise control technology of automobile chain is meaningful to improve the whole design level of automobile chain.Firstly, this paper takes common automobile engine roller chain and new Hy-Vo silent chain as an object, uses theory to research the operating characteristics of automobile chain under the same or different geometric parameters. It analyzes in details the differences between the same phrase and different phrases when the damper installs phrase angle under the same geometric parameters. It also analyzes the differences of phrase under the different geometric parameters.Secondly, on the basis of Dynamics, Mechanical vibration and noise studies, through the noise test of automobile chain (roller chain and new Hy-Vo silent chain), it seeks the design method to reduce the noise.Finally, by researching the generating mechanism of automobile chain noise, this paper obtains its control technology and puts forward four proposals:to change the structure of the chain wheel; to improve the structure of the chain; to install the damper and tensioner; to adopt bi-directional rotation.
