Compared with the traditional plane structure, the space grid structure has its own unique superiority, providing more spanning, more space to the possibility. Some large span space structures with large scale, novel and advanced technology has also become a mark of social progress and civilization. It can be say that, the large-span space structure has been developing very fast in past over 30 years. But some different types of accidents accrued due to some reason and extent. There are so many harsh lessons that have attracted wide attention.At present, there are many reinforcement methods of space grid structure. But the complete process of the reinforcement is not very much, and there are also few theoretical and practical research of the feasibility of the reinforcement method. Based on the reinforcement of the theater, the paper makes an overview of the development and application of large span space structures in the world. The article is an attempt analysis of common accidents that happen in the process of installation of space grid structure. According to the present theoretical analyses of space grid structure, emphasizing that in the design of space grid structure, it needs to use the software combined with the theoretical analyses, rather than only software. This paper mainly discusses the importance of theoretical design of actual project. Through the analysis of the design and construction, combining common reinforcement method used in structure reinforcement project, feasible reinforcement scheme was present. This paper relatively discusses thoroughly the reinforcement process of the whole space grid structure, and gives a detailed instruction of difficulties and key points during the reinforcement process, and this paper puts forward different strengthening modes for different bars and joints, and verifies the feasibility of the method through the theoretical formula.Analyzing and calculative software of space grid structure commonly used in design has its limitations, and can't completely solve problems in practical engineering. In this paper, for bars in weak place, the suggestion of increasing the section was put forward, and for joints in weak place, the suggestion of welding connection board and ear plate was present. The method has the advantage of convenient construction, and has less influence on appearance. In a word, this paper presents a reliable and economical method for similar reinforcement project of space grid structure.
