Research And Development Of Equipment Management System Based On Cloud Computing

With the rapid development of Internet, the world become more and more cyberized. As a new Internet technology, cloud computing has been developing vigorously in recent years. Every Internet giant has posted its own cloud computing strategy, cloud computing services have been rapidly expanding and become more and more popular, and also the applications used cloud computing become more and more. Because of this, enterprises do not have to purchase computer equipments and software applications, cloud computing service providers can do all the things for them. The enterprises can obtain more benefits with smaller cost by using cloud computing.Equipments are the core assets in every enterprise, it's very necessary to develop an Equipment Management System(EMS). The high costs of investment and maintenance in EMS can not meet the needs of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises(SME) which have great majority in our country. cloud computing naturally has advantage of economical and Sharing, using an EMS with cloud computing technology must be very popular in SME.Basic theory of cloud computing is introduced, Service models and characteristics of cloud computing are expounded in the paper. Key technology and using methods of Google App Engine(GAE) which is a cloud computing platform produced by Google are researched particularly. At last, great advantages are obtained by comparing EMS based on cloud computing with Ordinary EMS.The detailed requirement and the system frame are analysed, function modules and working process are researched in the paper. Modules of user controlling and equipment information management are detailed researched. Detailed data tables and date relationships are also devised. Using methods of the date store in GAE based on BigTable are discussed and basic information table is used as an example. At last, a simple EMS in SME based on cloud computing is devised using Java SDK, the Google Plugin for Eclipse, JSP and Browser/Server structure. It's very creative to use cloud computing into EMS, the SMEs do not need a lot of money to devise and maintain a new EMS. They can just buy EMS services according to their needs and focus on the equipment management. Because of these reasons, the EMS using cloud computing technology would be an important direction of the development, and the cloud computing technology must be more and more extensive.
