Masonry structure is widely used in rural area because of its convenience and low cost, it is the main architectural form of town construction, but the seismic behavior of masonry structure was not good.Traditional constructional column and ring beam technology works well on improving seismic behavior of masonry structure, and has been widely applied in China, It is not easily to guarantee the quality of traditional constructional column for the construction conditions is not well, In order to solve the construction problems, the school of civil engineering in Chongqing University suggests the assembly column technologies and carries out full-scale shaking table tests to prove its performance. this paper carrys out some finite element model analysis to estimate the seismic behavior of core- tie-columnsMain researches been done list as follows:①This paper summarize the constitutive relationship and the calculation method of plastic damage parameters applied to ABAQUS.②It studys on the model-building method of masonry structures and summarize the relationship of column and walls, slab and walls.③This paper carrys out model analysis and time-history analysis based on the finite element analysis software ABAQUS and studys on the finite element analysis method and operation of it.④Use ABAQUS to simulate the masonry structural model restrained by core- tie-columns compare the results with the experiments'by which to find out the method of estimating the seismic behavior of masonry structure.⑤Compare the failure mode of non-column,core-tie-column,precast-tie-column restricting masonry structure under earthquake action, estimate the the seismic behavior of core-tie-columns restricting masonry structure .⑥Design example and analyzed the configuration requirements of core-tie-columns.According to the study above, the paper come to conclusions below:①Using ABAQUS to simulated masonry structure and contrast with shaking table tests, found that the damage parameter nephogram can simulated the failure mode of masonry structure exactly, then the reliability of this method was verified②After comparing among non-column, core-tie-column, precast-tie-column, come to a conclusions that core-tie-column and precast-tie-column are almost in the same degree in improving seismic behavior of masonry structures.③` According to the study of the configuration of columns, it finds houses with commodious space windows and doors with big holes should set core-tie-column on both sides.
