Time's change and history's accumulation promote the development of economy with high speed, Now a high degree of personalized information age has being promoting the construction of the city into a new era of development。By the economical development and the increase of the urban population, the paradox between the construction of the Cultural and historical street and the development of the city has been gradually immerged .Because of this, the landscape design about the Cultural and historical street in the old cities begin to be more and more focused by the public.Located in the North China Plain, Baoding has its unique geographic advantage,and the deep historical and cultural also make it has a unique temperament. The old city—Baoding with the history of more than 2300 years,has rich folk customs,and the tone of the city is deep and simple As the core street in Baoding, YuHua street, is in the terms of transportation, a very important traffic jam, in the terms of expression, a window to the city, meanwhile, the most prosprous commercial circle in the old city as well.With the acceleration of urbanization, the increase of urban population, many problem took place in that old city which is developed on the basis of its former part., esp in YuHua street. (Its paradox mainly happened among traffic, commerce, culture and habitation.). The thesis would focus on YuHua street, exploring the value and use about the landscape design in the Cultural and historical street, which combined with the common principle and the relative theory of the landscape design, to search for the charcteristics of the Cultural and historical street. According to the above, the principle and method of the landscape design about the Cultural and historical street—Yu Hua street should be come out. The article can be divided into five parts:the first part should explain the historical background, aim and the significance, the way for research .The analysis of the landscape design both in China and abroad and the origin of the document .The second part pay much attention to the classifications of the concepts and the relative theory; The third part is about the illustration of the theory of the landscape design of YuHua street. The fourth part is the analyze and investigation about the resources of the landscape design of YuHua street,mainly aiming at the landscape analyze about this street's special characteristics, that combined transportation, commerce, medical care ,entertainment, catering industry, culture, and habitation and its current situation and the existing problem,cultural spots,traffic distribution,the arrangement of commercial nodes. The fifth part is about exploring the landscape's features according to the current situation of YuHua street and its existing issues, meanwhile the principles and methods of analyze of this street will be come out. According to the complexity of the YuHua street and Baoding government's request on the construction of the low-carbon city ,cultural old city and the city surrounded by the rivers and hills (this is all included in the policy"wear a new suit in three years"),we lay out the suggestion and solvement of the sight design of the street ,the advertisement outside the house, afforestation, the infrastructure, human factor and the connection and classification among the funtional zones. It is thought that on the maintenance of the special culture spot, on the premise of the sustainable development and humaniliation, on the guidance of the relative theory, YuHua street should improve the exiting situation based on its location, build a suitable, long-term system of the landscape design for healthy development.
