Research On Safety Evaluation Of Rural Highway Alignment Consistency

The traffic safety of the rural highway has already greatly influenced the development of society economy in the country. It is very important to research the traffic safety of the rural highway, for which can decrease the death and injured of human and loss the property in the village region. In the meantime it can provide the safety environment for the residents in the village region to go out and live. The safety of the rural highway is influenced by many factors, which mainly include the subjective and the objective factors. And the subjective factors have a great influence on the traffic safety of the rural highway, which include the traffic participants, the management, the publicity and education factors etc. While the factors such as vehicle, road, environment belongs to the objective factors. All of these are never easily overlooked.This thesis starts with the road alignment design factor and mainly researches the internal relationships between the consistency of the alignment design and the traffic safety of the rural highway. There are usually two methods to research the influence from the geometric alignment of road to the traffic safety. One way is to analyze the results of the traffic accidents. According to researching the latent factors of causing the traffic accidents, we can filtrate the accidents feature related with the road factor itself. And it then deeply researches the influence of traffic safety from the road factor. Among the road factor it includes the analysis and researches of the road alignment design factors; The other method firstly respectively researches the relationships among the road alignment design factor and vehicle operating speed as well the traffic accidents. The vehicle operating speed is using as the medium of the road alignment, to speak exactly, judging whether the road alignment good or not depends on analyzing weather the vehicle operating speed smoothly or not. Then the author sets up the consistency evaluation model that can be quantified to evaluate the excellent or not of the consistency of the road alignment. What's more, it studies the inside contact between the traffic safety and road alignment.The second notion is used in this thesis. It collects the speed data about the operating vehicles and the main factors of road alignment on the base of analysis and comprehensive the road alignment design factors. The operating speed estimate model is established in the different road geometric conditions by the usage of kinetics, mathematics oriels and 1stOpt(First Optimization).Then it sets up the road alignment design consistency evaluation model after studying and coordination analysis the operating speed of vehicle in the different road geometric conditions. The most important it establishes the evaluation standard of the consistency. Last but not the least, the consistency result that is worked out by the consistency model analyses the internal relationships between alignment design factor and the rate of the traffic accidents. In these way can we judge the safety degree of the whole road or parts of road segment. These are this paper mainly studying.
