The torsional vibration of vehicle driveline is one of the major factors of the existence vibration and noise in vehicle, which influence the NVH quality of vehicle. With continuous increase of the power and velocity, lighter structural quality of the vehicle, higher comfortable ride and safety are required, torsional vibration of vehicle driveline becomes more and more crucial.Therefore, the study on effect of the torsional vibration on the driveline of vehicle is of practical significance.In this paper, torsional vibration of the driveline is researched based on Vehicle Powertrain test beda What constitutes engine, clutch, transmission, drive shaft, rear axle, drive axle and wheels of a mini-car. First the mini-car powertrain torsion vibration experiments is established. Measurement of tooth plates are installed in the crankshaft front end(free end) and rear drive shaft. Three measuring points are set up including the flywheel. Install the sensors in the test points, with in neutral and fourth gear cases, in the low-speed medium-speed and high-speed of the engine, speed signal are collected on the test points. It is obtained the results from analysising on the experimental data of the torsional vibration of automobile transmission.Second,the basic dynamic model of the torsional vibration is established. The lumped mass model method is chosen for the research of the torsional vibration. The structure parameters of the components are determined by measuring and the components of the driveline are transformed equivalently. On these basis,the lumped mass-elasticity-damp discrete torsional vibration dynamic model with the 9 DOF is established,of which the torsional vibration is continued for the theoretical results.Finally, the calculation results are compared with experimental results to verify the accuracy of the model and calculation method. On this basis, the optimum design parameters for the torsional vibration damper are determined by parameter optimization to provide the basis for the selection of torsional vibration damper in the car.
