The Design Research On The Resistance To Progressive Collapse Of A Five-star Hotel

The problems of structural security are the primary issues that need to be considered in the structural design, when conducted the structural design, we hadn't consider the accidental loads, but judging from the examples of structural damage, a lot of engineering accidents are concerned with the accidental loads. Since Ronan Point apartment building collapsed in British London in 1968, a widespread attention to the continuous collapse-resistant design of structures has been paid. Therefore, for the buildings that require high security level, we should make the conventional design to meet structural strength, stiffness and stability, and carry out the continuous collapse-resistant design, namely when the local damage occurred in a part of structure under the effect of the accidental loads, structure is able to adjust the internal force, avoid spreading damage to other parts of structure, ensure the integral stability of structure.At present, many achievements of the collapse-resistant design of structures has been got in foreign countries, and the relevant regulations has been put forward, but the researches was started later in domestic, and few researches has been developed, we need to make a lot of researches.In this paper, expounding the main achievements of the aspects of the structural resistance to progressive collapse at home and abroad, and putting forward the analytical methods and the steps of the structural resistance to progressive collapse that bases on the related literatures at home and abroad, and quoting the collapse test of Hunan university, using the finite element software-ANSYS, through the contrast analysis of the results of the finite element calculation and the test results, verifying the correctness of the finite element method, then, using the method of dismantled component analyzing the collapse-resistance of a five-star hotel frame structures, judging whether a residual structure has the ability of the resistance to progressive collapse, on this basis, putting forward the measures of improving ability of structural resistance to progressive collapse, ensuring the ability of fighting for progressive collapse of the monomer project, and providing reference for the compilation and revision of the relevant specification.
