Recycled aggregate concrete is the concrete that is refers to using recycled aggregate which is made by construction waste with a certain proportion and gradation to replace the natural aggregate (mainly the coarse aggregate) partly or all, and the beams using recycled aggregate concrete are called reinforced recycled aggregate concrete beams. Along with the rapid development of construction industry of our country, how to deal with the quantities of construction waste in this process has become a important problem in society today. Combining with Zhengzhou municipal science and technology project in 2010 (ZhengJian 2009-165) "Key Technology and Applied Research of the Comprehensive Utilization of Construction Waste", and based on the experimental study of the specimens with recycled aggregate concrete and reinforced recycled aggregate concrete beams of different replacement rate, the main work was done as following:(1) Based on the experiment of the specimens with recycled aggregate concrete of different replacement rate, the workability,cubic compressive strength,axial compressive strength,tensile strength,typical stress-strain curves,elastic modulus,shrinkage deformation and so on were disussed, and and the optimum mix design of the recycled concrete were suggested.(2) Compared with 2 reinforced concrete beams,4 reinforced recycled aggregate concrete fexural beams of different replacement rate were tested and the failure process and mode,plane-section assumption,strain of longitudinal steels,maximum width of crack,deflection,cracking load,ultimate bearing capacity were disussed, besides, the applicability of the current code to the reinforced recycled aggregate concrete fexural beams was analyzed.(3) Compared with 3 reinforced concrete beams,6 reinforced recycled aggregate concrete shear beams whose replacement rates were different under the same shear span ratio were tested and the failure mode,development of cracks,strain of longitudinal and transverse steels,deflection,shearing capacity were disussed, besides, the formulae of the current code can be used to calculate the shear capacity of the reinforced recycled aggregate concrete fexural beams.
