At present, the rapid development of the national economy led to the rapid development of highway construction, following the frequent occurrence of traffic accidents, especially in the special section of the tunnel entrance, which is accident-prone areas and control areas. With the growing emphasis on the current context of traffic safety, and applications of the surface features of different technical measures, researching on the transition section of the tunnel entrance road safety, will have broad application prospects, and its successful application is bound to have certain social benefits and economic benefits.For the special section of the tunnel on the highway entrance transition section, from a security point of view, based on the level of road safety,the paper proposed to improve road traffic safety performance of road materials and structures. The authors analyzed the friction between tire and road surface mechanism, and the main influencing factors are summarized, and the influx of pavement skid resistance sliding a brief analysis. On this basis, it is analyzed that the surface water of the tire force and the driving the car and braking theory. Accordingly the transition section of the road surface and then analyzes the functions that the road surface skid resistance of road safety is the most important factor. After the transition section of the tunnel entrances and exits of the vehicle-road characteristics were analyzed and explained easily in this special section of the causes of traffic accidents and proposes some solutions:the laying of drainage at the entrance road, snow melt shop at the exit (antifreeze) Road. After the application of the theory of vehicle deceleration and associated test data to calculate the provision of drainage length of road pavement and snow. The lighting, visual adaptation, linear and driveways of transition section also have an important influence on traffic safety.Considering these four factors, corresponding to a reasonable length of transition section were identified.Comprehensive pavement skid resistance, lighting elements, visual, linear, driveways and other factors, using MATLAB software, using principal component analysis of the importance of each component and the correlation coefficient, the length of the final transition to the recommended value.
