Collapse is a relatively common accident in tunnel construction. With the rapid development of infrastructure construction, tunnel collapse accident is not uncommon. Variable influencing factors exists in tunnel collapse, which is difficult to treat, and it is one of the most common and most damaging incidents in the process of tunnel construction, which represents a huge threat to the construction and the life safety of construction and technical personnel. However, we are basically in the stage of "collapse treatment according to collapse" on the tunnel collapse research, and the analysis and research of collapse causes is not deep enough, there is no effective means to predict collapse accidents at present. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research on the mechanism of collapse and the corresponding treatment methods.Based on the Shangchang No.2 tunnel of Jingcheng Expressway, combined with the big collapse accidents in tunnel construction occurred in our country in the past, causes of large-scale collapse in left tunnel cave are preliminary studied and analyzed from the aspects of hydrological, geological, etc. in this paper. Radar detection means is applied to further ascertain the geological conditions and analyze the influence degree and scope to the surrounding tunnel rock of collapse. After the geological conditions is clear, means of numerical analysis is taken to simulate the collapse section to analyze the causes and influence to surrounding rock of the collapse, so as to provide basis for the collapse treatment. Finally, the corresponding treatment measures according to the specific situation of the collapse accident and the influencing factors of the accident are proposed.The collapse causes are researched by means of necessary site testing and numerical simulation combined with theoretical analysis based on specific projects, and it plays a certain reference value to the prevention and control of collapse disaster in tunnel construction, which has practical significance to guarantee the safety of the tunnel collapse treatment and rapid construction.
