Take APAM for example, it is taken antipersonnel action as shrapnel and involved with fragment long distances exterior ballistic which is related to fuze delay arming. The bomblets are involved with fuze self-destruction which is related to explosive disposal in the battlefield. The safety of shrapnel fuze are researched by the two parts.The fragments are analyzed by drawing on the experiences of projectile warhead particle exterior ballistics method. The fragments exterior ballistics mathematical models are based on fragments and the attenuation characteristics of the fragments'velocity are simulated by Matlab. The factors of impacting the fragments' velocity are studied. The results shows that gravity and the characteristics of air resistance in the fragments are effected a lot. When the fragments have the same flying distances, the quality is larger, the fragments' velocity is more quickly. The safety distances of projectile bottom fragment and nature fragment are analyzed. The safety distances of projectile bottom fragment is shorter than nature fragments', it is used for researching the fuze delay arming.It is necessary to discuss the performance analysis for self-destruction device while the safety of shrapnel fuze is studied. The self-destruction firing function of self-destruction device of bomblet fuze with stabbing centrifugal arm driven by torsion spring and the self-destruction device with centrifugal pin are studied. The dynamic models of self-destruction device are established to analyse firing reliability. The simulation results shows that the firing reliability of centrifugal pin self-destruction device is better. The self-destruction firing function of self-destruction device with stabbing centrifugal arm driven by torsion spring is affected appreciably by the torsion spring stiffness, material density of centrifugal arm, radius and friction coefficient of rotating shaft, while it is affected little by the projectile initial rotating speed.
