Open-graded Friction Courses(OGFC) with the performance of drainage,anti-skid and low-noise apply to many highways in rain region, it is a new type of asphalt pavement that using open-graded aggregate to design with large voids volume. Extend of OGFC road has great significance_for China.High viscosity modifiers is core material in OGFC asphalt mixture. The research of Drainage Pavement involves the choice of high viscosity modifiers inevitably. Basically, high viscosity modifiers dominates the economics of drainage pavement. However, The research on OGFC road in our country starts later than foreign country, Progress in high viscosity modifier is not obvious. And the conclusion is not much which can be use for reference in our country. In this situation, Through reading a large number of literature in domestic and foreign country, this paper grasps the situation and the dynamics of this problem inside and outside. The application of high viscosity modifier was explored on the base of analysis of OGFC asphalt mixture.Asphalt was modified by different modifiers, then four modifier scheme was determined through a series of asphalt tests. The performance of modified asphalt was analyzed by fluorescence microscope. Through wheel track test, bend test, Freeze-thaw splitting test, fragmentation test, asphalt mixture of hot mix accelerated test and ultraviolet accelerated aging test, OGFC mixture performance have been studied under the condition of different modifier. Based on the road performance, the four modifier scheme have been inspected and evaluated by using fuzzy mathematical analysis method. At the end, the different high viscosity modifiers are determined for specific transport and climate environment in the highway. |
