Traditional imaging appears most in laboratory instruments and spectral apparatus, during to huge volume, expensive price, the scope of application is limited much more. In many applications, reducing the size of the spectral instrument imaging is more important than improving the resolution.The paper is to study the prism spectrometer imaging, and analyses the existing problems in designing spectrometer, and through the calculation and optimization of geometrical optical path, we can reduce this problems. Then come up with the idea of cooperating the optical prism with the narrowband filter, giving the detail process and the optimized parameters through the ZEMAX software, ensure the stability and the pragmatically of the optical imaging systems.Through the designing of the model, by CCD sensor spectrometer took a group of photo oranges, through the image processing software MATLAB, the paper analyses the images in different spectrum. Through the RYGB four-color image contrast, we can identify best the exterior quality of fruit. The spectrometer can be easily used in machine's visual sense, and increase efficiency.
