The Preservation Of Traditional Local Culture In The Construction Of Ecological Civilization

The traditional local cultures are of great value to our country and nation. With the continuous progress of China's social development, the preservation of traditional local culture has been widely concerned. Based on the advanced research and practical experience learning from foreign countries, the preservation of traditional culture in China has been greatly improved both in the theoretical and practical level. However, the situation of cultural preservation is not optimistic. Although a lot of attention has been paid to some landscapes with high economic value in the tourism activities, the preservation of traditional local culture in many areas are in difficulties due to the challenges and economic interests and the influence of foreign culture, which can be seen not only in the destruction of a large number of cultural landscape, but also in the quietly passing of cultural idea and spirit.This paper, based on the theory of culture preservation and culture identity and the background of the construction of ecological civilization, is intended to explore the mechanism and conditions of culture preservation and the inheriting of culture spirit in particular. By conducting field works in typical ancient villages such as Hongcun, Xucun and Chengkan and some document studies about Huizhou Culture, this paper assesses the current situation of culture preservation in Huizhou and analyzes the eco-value of ancient villages, Based on which presents some suggestion to optimize the culture preservation.Thesis is divided into six chapters. The prologue mainly explains the background and meaning of this thesis and simply introduces the object, content, method and framework of the research; The second chapter is a literature review, reviewing relevant studies about cultural preservation of heritage, traditional local culture and Huizhou Ancient Village, which make a clear basis for further study and research of the paper; Chapter3analyzes the goal of preservation of traditional local culture and explore the mechanism of protection of traditional local culture; Chapter4resolves the connotation of the construction of ecological civilization and the potential ecological value of traditional local culture and explores the positive interaction that may exist between the construction of ecological civilization and preservation of traditional local culture; Chapter5is the empirical part of the thesis. Based on judging the conservation status of the Huizhou ancient village culture, this part interprets the ecological value of ancient villages in Huizhou culture and explores the optimization path in the construction of ecological civilization in ancient Huizhou villages; Last part is conclusion and discussion of the full text, to summarize and to make directions for future clear. As for research methods, thesis combines the document study and field study as the main method.It is argued in this paper that the goal of culture preservation is to retain vivid culture and keep its living state which may not only ask for the preservation of static cultural landscapes but also for the inheriting and developing of the excellent ideas in traditional local cultures. The spirits of local cultures are usually internalized in people's everyday life and can be inherited in the continuation of lifestyle. Thus, only with profound perception and strong attribution can traditional local cultures be well preserved. The potential value of traditional local culture is the basis for the formation of cultural identity and activating these values can to a great extent promote the perception and agreement to traditional local culture, which may have a positive impact on the culture preservation. Construction of ecological civilization may bring a new opportunity for the preservation of traditional local culture. Traditional cultures are usually of great eco-value that is contained in the idea and practical level and these may play an important role in the construction of ecology civilization. At the same time, activating these values in this process also promotes the culture inheriting and preservation. There are valuable experiences in the traditional culture of Huizhou ancient villages in constructing ecology civilization. However, since lacking profound perception and highly agreement, culture preservation faces a lot of difficulties. If these eco-values can be activated in the construction of local ecology civilization, a positive relationship between culture preservation and ecological civilization construction can be set up, which may effectively strengthen the culture identity and promote culture preservation and inheriting.
