| Underground coal and gas outburst often occur in the mining processwhich damage working surface and release a mass of coal rock and gasinstantaneously. Underground gas content measurement is an importantmeasure to prevent underground coal and gas outburst. In this paper, anunderground gas content measurement system and its experimental study isintroduced.Desorption method is used in the system to determine the content of gaswithin the coal seam. First of all, mine sample is collected underground, secondarily, the desorption method is used to process coal samplescorrespondingly, then based on the desorption law by Chongqing School, lossof gas volume, x1, is extrapolated. Adding direct gas desorption volume, x2,and smashed gas desorption volume, x3, together to get the atmospheric gasdesorption volume, xm, then plus xb, which is exported from the results oflaboratory measurement to get the final results of gas content in coal seam, x.The operating principle of the system is divided into undergroundoperation mode and underground-overground mixing mode. The majorcomponent of the system including hardware and software systems as follows: equipment enclosure; equipment van; core gun; desorption instrument;underground shredders; coal sample tube; mechanical balance; aneroidbarometer; ground grinder; ground moisture analyzer; ground weighingsystems; data processing system. Detailed planning and introduction for thenew core gun, underground shredder and data processing system are stated inthe paper. Especially detailed about the PC software development of the dataprocessing system. Visual Basic was used as the programming language forthe PC software design, and this paper also presents software algorithms, forms and the implementation and etc.Corresponding experiments of hardware and software components arealso presented in this paper separately. Hardware experiments included theresult verification experiments of shredder and desorption equipment;software experiments included the validity and availability of the softwarealgorithm. The development and design standard of the handheld version ofthe system are also proposed in the paper, and present further developingdirection of it. |
