The desertification has caused serious effect to ournational life, so it is one of the problems which should be solved on demandfor continuous development strategy of china to reasonably controlling thedesertification. Chemical sand-fixing agent is efficient and convenient inmodern sand-fixing technology and model. Ecological polymer sand-fixingmaterial comes from ecological raw materials, so it is non-poisonous andpollution-free; polymer water absorbent material has stable adhesiveproperties and good water absorption performance. The study has importanttheoretical significance and practical value.This research absorbs the advantages of the two type sand-fixingmaterials, and develops two kinds of polymer material based on cellulose, anduses these materials in sand-fixing. The main work is as follows:1. The sodium carboxymetheyl cellulose sand-fixing agent was synthetized, with corn bract sin as raw material, using solvent method andsecondary alkali adding process. The optimum conditions of the synthesis ofsand-fixing agent were researched, and so were the optimum formula, thesand-fixing property and environmental hazards performance. Thecompressive strength of the solidified layer of sand-fixing agent is2.2MPaunder the optimum conditions. The best solid content for sand-fixing is1.5-2%, and the solidified layer can still maintain15%water content14dayslater. The wind erosion rate is less than0.1%under strong breeze. Thesand-fixing can still maintain favourable sand-fixing performance when thetemperature ranges from35℃to70℃. This agent is biodegradable andnon-harmful to sand, people and plants, and has favourable environmentalcompatibility.2. A new-type sand-fixing agent of sodium carboxymethyl cellulosegrafted onto acrylamide was synthetized, with sodium carboxymethylcellulose which was synthetized by ourselves as raw material. The optimumconditions of the synthesis of sand-fixing agent were researched, and so werethe sand-fixing property and environmental hazards performance. Thecompressive strength of the solidified layer of sand-fixing agent is2.45MPaunder the optimum conditions. The best solid content for sand-fixing is1-1.5%, and the solidified layer can still maintain30%water content30dayslater. The agent can still maintain favourable sand-fixing performance after7times water tolerance experiments. The wind erosion rate is less than0.1% under strong breeze. The sand-fixing can still maintain favourable sand-fixingperformance when the temperature ranges from35℃to70℃. This agent isbiodegradable and non-harmful to sand, people and plants, and has favourableenvironmental compatibility.
