Underwater robot welding in underwater welding and welding repair is important in the role that cannot be replaced, more and more developed countries turned to look rich mineral deposits in the ocean, Marine energy to the mining of the platform construction must be underwater welding technology and underwater welding automation support. Underwater welding process is different from on the land of the welding process, welding seam under high pressure and welding pool underwater rapid cooling, the robot structure effect, observation tank and tracking CCD, and other factors to cooperate. In this paper, the underwater welding robot welding functions, external send silk machine box of configuration, local high-pressure gas mask numerical simulation study of underwater, welding environment, welding current and welding voltage, welding robot walking speed, high pressure gas flow, protect flow, dry elongation to underwater welding, filar guide tube diameter and different welding wire welding process of the effects of parameters was studied.Nanchang university and Tsinghua university cooperation development the welding robot software and hardware, the welding robot each parts, the possible problems and related underwater robot research on the function, and in lab built underwater welding platform and the Yangtze river in the deep water for the underwater welding experiments.Design the round and rectangular underwater welding structure local exhaust respectively, the two local exhaust the advantages and disadvantages of contrast, proposed further modification scheme.Experiments show that high pressure gas and welding protection gas, and the great influence of electric arc, the local exhaust gas and the high voltage protection of high pressure gas flow was simulated, and the protection of high-pressure gas gas flow law of the welding process parameters using laid a foundation.The welding seam underwater process parameters influence factors, this paper analyzes all kinds of process parameters on the impact of the welding. Of three kinds of welding wire, two godet pipe welding underwater experiment, we studied different welding wire diameter and filar guide to the influence of the pipe welding.The experimental results show that the welding robot can realize the underwater underwater welding, for our future sea of large components development and provide technical support to repair welding.
