This topic was study on the applyment of activated carbon fiber in thetreatment of aquaculture water. Under the different pH, substrate concentrationand adsorption time condition, compared the adsorption effect of the two kindsof activated carbon fiber with different specific surface area on COD, TP andNH4+N. Finally it was determined that using the specific surface area of1000m2g-1activated carbon fiber as the base material compounded withpolypropylene fiber and acrylic fiber. In different experimental conditions, activated carbon fiber used in the treatment of aquaculture wastewater andpurification on aquaculture water, finally determined the optimal conditions. In the condition of pH value for6, the two kinds of activated carbon fiberhad the highest removal rate on removal of pollutants in the three simulatingwastewater, the adsorption effect was COD>NH4+N>TP. Langmuir equationused in activated carbon fiber adsorption had good linear correlation andbelonged to the molecular adsorption. The biggest adsorption amount ofactivated carbon fiber with specific surface area of1000m2g-1on COD,TPand NH4+N were83.3mg g-1,13.16mg g-1and8.745mg g-1The times of adsorption equilibrium were30,50and90min. The biggest adsorption amountof activated carbon fiber with specific surface area of1600m2g-1on COD,TPand NH4+N were90.0mg g-1,16.95mg g-1and12.19mg g-1. The times ofadsorption equilibrium were30min,50min and50min.The optimal conditions for activated carbon fiber used in the purificationof aquaculture water were breeding density of50ind m-3, DO for6mg L-1andmaterials on the density of0.3kg m-3. In this condition, the removal amount ofCOD, TP and NH4+N were47.8mg L-1,1.251mg L-1and0.888mg L-1respectively. The metabolin of Jin Carp contributed to the COD,NH4+N andTP amount in the water were0.047mg L-1,0.0047mg L-1and0.006mg L-1each day.The optimal conditions for activated carbon fiber used in the treatment ofaquatic wastewater were HRT for10h and aeration strength for1.5m3h-1. Inthe condition, the average removal of COD,NH4+N,TP and turbidity wereabout80%,60%,30%and81%. Activated carbon fiber as the filler of contactoxidation pool had the feature of easily hanging membrane, good biologicalcompatibility. The wastewater after treatment could be satisfied for therequirement of aquaculture.
