Because of its electronic structure and properties of special of rare earth elements, make it in the optical, electrical, magnetic, catalytic, analyze areas of concern. Rare earth complexes with organic ligands to form, the emitted light with high luminous intensity, color purity, high quantum efficiency, good brightness, long fluorescent life, easily soluble in organic solvents, while in the azo compound into a variety of special features of the functional groups, can enhance the azo group function, combine two synthetic azo complexes of rare earth with not only the azo complexes as can become a potential functional material, but also can reduce the toxicity of Cd, Cr, Pd and other heavy metal ions with azo compounds coordination on ecological environmental pollution, for research and development of environmental friendly functional materials has very important significance.This paper selects2-amino-4-hydroxy-6-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid, p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid, as diazonium salt and tropolone of good coordination capability of salts, were synthesized two easily soluble in water of tropolone azo ligands, and the structures and spectral analysis of tropolone azo ligands were determined by1HNMR, IR, UV-vis, fluorescence spectra and elementary analysis. On the ultraviolet spectrum of ligandl influence factors (pH, solvent and concentration) were analyzed to explore, research shows that ligand lin different pH under the present three kinds of different structure. The two kind of ligands in the UV data is carried out by using Origin software regression analysis. In addition,2-amino-4-hydroxy-6-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid diazotization process improved convenience temperature, synthesis of a kind of tropolone seven ring and2-amino-4-hydroxy-6-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid of six membered ring directly connected tropolone derivatives of supramolecular crystals. The single crystal with X single crystal diffraction analysis, obtained the molecules in the crystal structure of crystal type, bond length, angle of crystal data. In addition, the ligand synthesis influencing factors were also discussed.The above two ligands were used to synthesize azo rare-earth metal complexes with terbium, samarium and other rare earth metal,and were1:3. The structures of these azo rare-earth metal complexes were determined by1H-NMR, IR, UV-vis, fluorescence spectra, elementary analysis and other analytical techniques. The corresponding ligand ultraviolet spectra are compared, this several kinds of azo rare-earth metal complexes of ultraviolet spectrum are red shift.The corresponding with the concentration of the ligand fluorescence spectra compared, these kinds of rare earth metal complexes fluorescence spectra also have a blue shift and the strength is enhanced.'H-NMR diagram of the ligand compared to the complexes of hydrogen took place toward the low field displacement.
