Engraving technology not only plays an important role in the historical developmentof civilization, but also in our country, it is a traditional process. The brick is one of theimportant parts, it contains the unique cultural atmosphere, art and technology in one set,However, with demand for the product to meet the aesthetic requirements of the brickunprecedented growth, The traditional hand-carved production can not meet the needs ofthe market.The rapid development of CNC engraving technology makes the production ofwood carving, stone carving, and other industry become a reality, the necessaryconditions for the automated production of the brick. It provides the necessary conditionsfor the automated production of the brick. From an engineering reality, the performanceof the brick material and CNC machining technology that is suitable for the brickindustry have been in depth study. Content and innovation can be summarized as follows:Recalling the development of Chinese traditional brick.Compareing with traditionalsculpture abroad by material production and engraveprocessing methods, then makeresearch by combining with the problems of carving CAD/CAM system, think that thekey point of achieveing the brick CNC engraving is how to control the phenomenon ofthe collapse debris processing and ensure quality process.For the special properties of brick materials, make analysis of the generationmechanism of brittle materials crack.to establish a set of brick material quality evaluationsystem by comprehensive assessment of the green brick material.For accuracy reasons, brick three-dimensional modeling theory has been putforward by z-map algorithm for planar mesh method and Bezier surface generationmethod, then several modeling methods have been proposed to meet the model ofdifferent brick pattern.Several issues affecting the machining accuracy in the actual process have beenconsidered, such as process optimization, tool selection, workpiece clamping, planealignment and so on.then, a specific approach to these problems has been given.Finally, the two basic processing methods in CNC engraving process-line cut andcircumcision cut method have been introduced, and compare the both advantages anddisadvantages points, collect line-cutting law and circumcision method to design brickprocessing tool path, propose that equidistant method solves anti-tool knife planes andthe projection method t optimizes the brick processing path. It is a good solution to theproblem of path planning; In Artcam simulation platform, reasonable tool parametersettings, the material parameter settings, the machine parameters settings and appropriatetool path files have been obtained by repeated testing. Program optimization methodshave been put forward by reduce programming errors, and improve the runningefficiency of the program.At last, the program that combines CNC machining methodand the traditional carved artificial repair practices has been designed.
