With the development of society and improvement of people's living standards, we have higher requirements about the environmental comfort, noise pollution, especially traffic noise cause a serious impact on people's daily life. Studies have shown that when the vehicle speed exceeds70km/h, the noise of the tread pattern becomes a major component of the vehicle noise; therefore, the control of tread pattern noise, the design of low noise tread pattern is increasingly becoming the urgent needs of modern society and tire manufacturers.After the cooperation with some tire manufacturers, the school's tire team has developed "Tire Pattern Simulation Analysis and Intelligent Optimization System"(TNS/ODS), through simulation analysis and optimal selection of the tread pattern, the design of low noise tread pattern has got satisfactory results. However Hang Zhou Zhongce Rubber Group encountered some problems in the process of using software, for example, we can not get the total sound level of the sequence in the pattern pitch after using the sequence optimization, the operability of the software interface needs to be raised; also the test dates from Zhongce bifunctional anechoic chamber are low in reproducibility. This project has done a detailed answer about the above issues.Firstly the paper introduces the background and significance of tire noise research, clarify the importance of develop low-noise tires, then we discussed the characteristics of the tire structural, tire noise, the mechanism of the tread pattern noise, the mathematical model and computer simulation analysis method, which is the theoretical premises of design low noise tread pattern and the basis of develop simulation optimization software. Subsequently according to the problems that had found during using the software, we upgrade the software, this makes the result more accurate, more ease of the software. Finally, a brief introduction has been give about three methods to test the tire noise, the analysis and research of the Tire noise spectrum,for the problems of Hang Zhou Zhongce bifunctional anechoic chamber, we put forward some improve methods.The difficulty of this paper is to upgrade the TNS/ODS software. Through the analysis of tire noise with simulation and actual measure data, we consider the affect of the performance of tire material and add it to the software, after the noise test, the result of software simulation is closer to the actual test result.
