It is the reliability of Electrochemical Machining (ECM) tool system that made ECM to carry through successfully at large current, high flow velocity and small gap. It is necessary for processing big-caliber cannon mixed rifle with two-axis simultaneous motion to adopt circumrotate electric conduction and move seal, so the dependability of large current conduction get to be the one of the key technique. The tube of big-caliber cannon is very long, with the deep rifle groove and big wining-angle, resulting in a long process duration and large electrical current, which makes the products per minute increasing at such rapid rate that the difficulty to maintain concentration, temperature and cleanliness of electrolyte in sedimentation basin at machining big-caliber cannon are far more than usual.The key technique for large current conduction and electrolyte supply were investigated in this paper:1) The space between copperplates was determined according to the electromotive force by finite element analysis.2) A set of scheme for electrolyte sedimentation basin was proposed to solve filtrate which have formed bottleneck for processing big-caliber cannon mixed rifle, and the vertical sedimentation basin was designed with big-caliber cannon as main products object. The flow velocity at each point in sedimentation basin was analyzed based on COMSOL and the deposition status in sedimentation basin was simulated by LabVIEW. The parametric design scheme was presented and that of the vertical sedimentation basin was fulfilled.3) In order to improve the rate and precision calculating added quantity of electrolyte to maintain the electrolyte concentration in manufactory, the scheme controlling electrolyte concentration automatically was brought forward, and a set of function group of specific density-concentration at various temperature were derived based on Lagrange's interpolation in MATLAB, in terms of which the parametric program for calculating proportioning of electrolyte concentration was composed. Its user interface was on the faceplate by LabVIEW. 4) The electrolyte temperature was observed and controlled based on LabVIEW and USB6009 were designed.To testify the results from parametric program calculating proportioning of electrolyte concentration, the experiment were carried out, the proposed strategy on parametric program is approved by above test. The scheme of current-carrying-shaft with Brush group and the vertical sedimentation basin have been adopted by item----"Manufacture on Electrochemical Machining (ECM) tool system" in The Number XXX Manufactory.
