Dewatering technology have been applied in environmental protection, chemical industry, pharmacy, mining and metallurgy and food production and other fields.The dewatering of high moisture content biomass, such as municipal sewage sludge, as a result of reduction, is the important step in its harmless treatment, but it faces the status of a large amount of energy consumption of dewatering. Therefore, it is the research target and has very important application foreground to reduce the high moisture content biomass dewatering energy consumption, with the national energy-saving emission reduction of the fundamental policy.The municipal sludge with high moisture content biomass was choosed as the research object, the total water content, free water and bound water content, filtrate density and filtrate viscosity were studied. The high moisture content biomass dewatering experimental equipment was designed and built, the equipment is composed of the following parts:the press filter dewatering components, high moisture content biomass heating components, ultrasonic component and temperature and pressure monitoring assembly. The dewatering characteristics of municipal sludge with the experimental equipment in different pressure, different layer height, different temperature and different power under the effect of ultrasonic were studied, be accumulated filtrate volume changes with time of the experimental data. The experimental data shows that:in the smaller material layer height, with the increasing of pressure segment accumulated total filtrate volume increase, better dewatering effect; as the height increases, dewatering effect gradually to "double peak" phenomenon change (as the pressure rises, dewatering effect becomes better, get worse, again better), along with the material layer to further improve, segment accumulative total filtrate volume appeared the phenomenon of "double peak" Based on the experimental data the calculation and analysis of municipal sludge, the paper get the quality of unit power consumption, specific filtration resistance and compressibility coefficient, the best recommended operating point was selected according to the principle of minimum energy consumption. On the basis of working condition, the temperature on the dewatering properties was got, experimental results show that at a certain temperature, elevated temperature will increase the total quantity of filtrate. Finally, this paper makes a preliminary study of the effect of ultrasonic power on dewatering performance, experimental results show that in a given power range power can enhance the effect of dewatering.
