| Silver-plated fiber is one kind of metallized fiber with the multiple functions, the fiber has wonderful conductivity which surface covered the metal silver layer, for the development of antistatic fabrics becoming more popular. Therefore, the study of silver-plated fibre fabric antistatic property has practical significance on the development of the antistatic function product.In this paper, according to the silver-plated fiber properties, spinning and weaving different yarn and antistatic fabric using silver-plated fiber are desgined. Analysis and compare with the textile-evaluation for electrostatic properties methods, electric charge density testing method is perfected for the fabric containing metal conductive fiber. The influence of the content and distribution of siver-plated fiber on the antistatic property of the fabric is investigated by the testing and analysis of the antistatic properties of a group of plain weave fabrics and weft plain stitch fabrics with different content and distribution of siver-plated fiber, and made design and development technical route of antistatic fabric with silver-plated fiber.The results show that:the electric charge surface density of the fabric decreases along with the increasing of the content of the siver-plated fiber, but its trends will be influenced by the inlaying of the non-antistatic yarns between fuctional yarns; the static charge deposition area will be formed owing to the inlaying of non-functional yarn, and the antistatic property of fabric depends on the size of the static charge deposition area and the antistatic ability of the fuctional yarn; the inlaying of non-functional yarn will intensify the antistatic unevenness caused by the distribution unevenness of siver-plated fiber in the fuctional yam; compared with sirofil yarn woven fabric and union fabric, staple fiber blend fabric has better antistatic effect; after 30 times washed the silver-plated fibre fabric still has a good antistatic function, which suitable for the development of durable antistatic products. Blended yarn process and core-spun yarn process are two better process route to develop antistatic fabric by silver-plated fiber, the former suitable for showing the color of silver-plated fiber on the fabric, whereas, the latter applies to the design and develop the fabric with "hide" the color of fiber. |
