The inflammable gas will form an explosive mixture when mixed with air. The mixture can be easily ignited by leakage or short circuit in electrical equipment, causing explosions. Intrinsically safe controller has its own security. It will not cause the accident even in the case of misoperation or equipment failure. With the improvement of automation level in the coal mine, the demanding of controller's ability has become higher and higher. A general intrinsically safe controller powered by ARM processor and WinCE embedded system is designed in this issue to provide a hardware and software platform, and PID neural network multivariable control algorithms based on quantum particle swarm optimization is designed. Through Matlab Simulink, this algorithms show a lot of advantages, including not easy to fall into local optimum solution, high convergence speed, strong anti-disturbance and anti-jamming. This algorithm is applied to the underground drainage system, and the output curve shows that the quantum particle swarm multi-weight neural network PID algorithm has good performance.Intrinsically safe controller based on ARM and WinCE has advantages of simple structure, powerful function, programmable, easy maintenance. After loading intelligent control algorithms, it can finish a lot of work which traditional control methods can't realize. Therefore, it has broad application prospects in the industrial area.
