Screw rotor is applied increasingly wider in air compressor, freezer and pump industry. Screw rotor has complex shape of tooth surface and high accuracy, which leads to its processing is difficult. There is a big gap between home and abroad on the working performance and machining precision of its key manufacturing equipment——CNC screw rotor grinding machine. Around the high precision problem, the dynamic performance and precision optimization of the machine are researched, which has very important significance to improve the domestic screw rotor machining quality and break the monopoly on high-grade rotor product abroad at present.To improve the dynamic performance of the screw rotor grinding machine, the dynamic characteristics and structure optimization of its key components were researched first, including the grinding carriage, workbench and the bed. The optimized structure parts could reach the goal all. The bed's structural parameters optimization results based on the structure of the cell show that, the cell structure dynamic characteristic had certain guidance function for the bed structural parameters optimization.Based on the structure optimization of machine parts, the machine's three main combination interfaces were simulated and their parameters were identified by Yoshimura method. Then the dynamic performance of the whole machine wsa analyzed. Through the comprehensive optimization of key parts structure and combination interface's parameters, the dynamic performance and vibration resistance were improved considerably, and the weight was reduced with a certain degree, which saved the manufacturing cost.To improve the overall accuracy and reduce cost of screw rotor grinding machine, the geometric errors model was built based on the multi-body system theory and its structure and movement characteristics. Then an integrated optimal method aiming at accuracy and cost was proposed to meet different needs. Machine performance and economy are well-coordinated using the two integrated optimization.
