| The polymerization of methyl methacrylate(MMA), isobornyl methacrylate(IBOMA) and trifluoroethyl methacrylate(TFEMA) was respectively performed in a bulk polymerize-tion with azodiisobutyronitrile(AIBN)as an initiator. And the copolymerization of two monomers of them was discussed respectively. The influence of the initiator concentration, chain transfer agent concentration and reaction temperature on the conversion rate and polymerization rate was investigated in detail. Thermal and optical properties and molecular mass of copolymers were studied by means of NMR spectrometer, GPC, DSC, abbe refractometer and visible ultraviolet spectrophotometer. The monomer reactivity ratios were calculated by using two graphical methods, KT and FR methods, and YBR calculative method. The result indicated, P(IBOMA-co-MMA) with high Tg (104℃~149℃)can be used for the core material of heat resistant POF; P (TFEMA-co-MMA) with low refraction index(1.418~1.490) can be used for the cortex material of POF; P(TFEMA-co-IBOMA) with Tg(84℃~149℃), refraction index(1.418~1.511) and high transmission can be used for the core material and cortex material of POF. The designability of PMMA-based POF was improved by the combination of the reaction system, thermal properties and optical properties of the copolymer. |
