The process of propylene epoxidation to product propylene oxide was a typical organic oxidation reaction. Propylene epoxidation with hydrogen peroxide, catalyzed by the new efficiency and industrial production of titanium silicate molecular sieve (TS-1), and used methanol as a solvent in mild condition. There were a few by-products, which can be separated convenient, and green to environment. But, through simulation, the economy of the process was bad, the cost of materials and energy was more than the price of PO, therefore, how to reduce the cost was very important. The following orientations were studied in this thesis:First, Hydrogen peroxide was produced with anthraquinone process in laboratory and titrated.Second, some experiments were done to study the reaction characteristic research about the process with anthraquinone extract as an oxidant, and the result showed it is similar with the results with the process with 30% hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant.Third, some analysis about the trace components in the anthraquinone extract, and the epoxidation reaction were studied with a certain mass concentration of every trace component. At last, a simulation of the propylene epoxidation with anthraquinone extract was designed, and the results showed the economy of the process with anthraquinone extract as a oxidant was better than the process with 30% hydrogen peroxide as a oxidant.
