As one of the coal mining wastes, coal gangue is the largest amount of emissivity in China mining districts. With the action of leaching by rain and water, the large amount of coal gangue piles on the spot, some hazardous trace elements will be dissolved completely or partly into water or soil environment and atmosphere to deteriorate water quality and destroy soil function and influence ecology development and human health. Fushun coalfield is the largest coal mine in Liaoning province, but with the long-term coal open pit mining and waste rock stripping the formation of large homes in the southern field of Fushun to cause serious pollution. So this research choice east and west dumping sites to study the environmental geochemistry of coal gangue, soils and water.Concentrated acid heating method, Sequential extraction and Pollution Index Method, which associated to AAS were used in the studies of content, speciation distribution of some hazardous element, speciation distribution in coal gangue and soil hazardous trace element environmental quality assessment of Fushun coalfieldBy the research of contents of hazardous metals (Cr, Cu,Cd,Pb,Zn, Mn,Ni), the result shows the contents of hazardous metals in west dumping site is generally higher than in the east dumping site. In west dumping site and east dumping site of the same gangue stratum, there are no significant difference between coal gangue. In different stratum in the content between the different elements are different rules.By analysis of sequential extraction of coal gangue shows, the existing status of hazardous element in main is residual faction and organic faction. Two of them can reach 75% of the total content. But the proportion of exchange faction and carbonate is low. Therefore, the environmental impact of coal there are limitations, should be limited to the surrounding area.According to the soaking experiments, the lixiviating concentration of most elements in west dumping site is higher than east dumping site, except Pb and Zn. In addition to Cr and Cd, the lixiviating concentration of other elements increases with the time increasing.The lixiviating concentration of top gangue is higher than the bottom in Cr, Cu,Cd, Zn but Pb and Mn showed the opposite rule.In addition to the release of Zn element in the remaining elements of the total contents in excess of drinking water quality standard of living.By studying the content of harmful elements in the soil, the content of harmful elements in west dumping site is higher than the east dumping site. The content of hazardous metals (Cr, Cu,Cd, Pb, Zn and Ni) in soil descends with the distancet of the dumping site increasing. According to evaluation of pollution, Cd is the most serious pollution problem elements on the land, in addition Zn, Ni have also caused contamination of soil.By analysis of water samples showed that the water is acidic, high levels of SO42-and low hardness.
