Chiral that refers to as the left hand with right hand, similar very much, but can't overlap. For micro things, we said a compound is not the chiral compound, that means the molecular and its image can be completely overlapped, we call it as a achirality molecule; while that moleculars which can not overlap with their images we call them chiral molecules enantiomers, in the achiral environments, does not show any differences, such as the melting point, boiling point,and the reaction rate with the achiral compounds. But, when they react with chiral compounds, in the chiral environments or catalyzed by a chiral catalyst, the reaction rate and optical rotation is distinctly different. As the basic characteristic of nature, chirality is universal. All the biology in the nature has the characteristic of chiral, causing the biology enzyme and various substrates interact with each other through such a way which leads to the different effects of the enantiomers.People's understanding on the optical purity of chiral drugs is gradually improving. Using the high optical purity monomer as curative effect medicine has become the new desire and requirements at present, in the content of the influence and interference from legislation and the administrative department. A big mount of human, material and financial resources were payed for the study in order to obtain high purity optical activity chiral drugs. Researches suggest that, in the field of biology, medicine, chemistry or chemical research, obtaining the chiral compounds with high optical purity is significant.As the developement of Organic stereochemistry, many ways have been explored for obtaining the chiral compounds with high optical purity and each way has their own characteristics. Commonly as:directly obtained from natural compounds, modification of natural chiral compounds, asymmetric synthesis, asymmetric catalysis and the resolutions of the enantiomers. The most distinctive and attractive way is the resolution of raceme through chromatography. The research agenda is the development and research of chromatographic column.In this paper, two natural chiral amino acid L-leucine and L-phenylalanine was used as the material, combined with stability metal organic compound ferrocene which then react with 3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane to obtain the two chiral stationary phases, which can be used as the chiral filler in the chromatography column. Through the the theπ-πinteraction with the ferrocene part and chiral group in the stationary phase, the chiral compounds could be separated and identified with purity determined.
