In this paper, the functional microcapsules of skin-caring and flavor were prepared using gelatin and arabic gum as the wall materials and olive oil and jasmine oil as the core materials. The microcapsules were finished into fabric by padding to obtain functional fabric. The parameters influencing the properties of microcapsules were studied in detail. The morphology was observed by optical microscope and scanning electron microscope. The particle size and distribution were tested by laser particle size analyzer. The oil content of the microcapsules was analyzed through soxhlet extraction.First the olive oil microcapsules with the function of slow-releasing were prepared. The process parameters, such as the dosage of the cross linker, concentration of the wall materials, pH adjustment rate and the ratio between core and wall materials, were analyzed in detail. The optimal process parameters were as follow: dosage of the cross linking agent was of 3ml, the concentration of wall materials was of 3%, the pH value of coacervation was 4.0 and the ratio of core/wall material was 1:1. The a oil content of microcapsules prepared at optimal process was up to 60% and the mean particle size was 3~8μm with good surface morphology. Olive oil microcapsules prepared with the best parameters were finished on cotton fabric through padding. The effect of pre-drying temperature, curing temperature and time, solid content of finishing agent, the ratio between finishing agent and adhesive agent were investigated. Through testing the drug-loading rate of olive oil in cotton fabric, breathable and moisture permeability, the optimum parameters were as follow: pre-drying temperature was 70℃, curing temperature was 120℃and time was 1min, solid content of finishing agent was 5%, the ratio between finishing agent and adhesive agent was 1:1. The oil content of cotton fabric was 2~5% and had a good touch feeling and whiteness. Its slow-release property tested with UV spectrophotometer was also good. Breathable and moisture permeability and washing fastness were satisfied to normal needs of fabrics.The perfume microcapsules were prepared using the jasmine oil as the core materials. Cross linking time, the ratio of core to wall, pH and the inlet temperature of spray drying were studied to get the optimum process conditions. And the optimal parameters were used to embed jasmine essence and olive oil to get mix cores microcapsules. The results showed that the maximum oil content reached 38%, the mean particle size ranged 6~10μm, the cotton fabric finished has good slow release performance. The breathe freely moisture permeability of fabric finished were good and the air resistance is 0.29 kPa?s/m, the moisture permeability content is 10828g/(m2?24h). The air resistance of complex microcapsules is 0.282 kPa?s/m, its moisture permeability content is 10870 g/(m2?24h).
