The design of industrial monitoring system directly affects the efficiency of industrial production. With the rapid development of PLC technology and network communication,PLC control is widely used in all kinds of fields, especially has the irreplaceable role in large industrial control system.Taking Jinzhou port disperses the grain silos as an example; this paper gives a brief overview of the current status of modern grain logistics, and discusses organizational structure, development and design of the control system with Rockwell Automation products as the technology platform.This paper mainly summarizes the structure of the silos monitoring system, introduces the system design ideas and design process of the hardware and software. The hardware design mainly includes the overall design, the main part of the PLC and related communications design. The software mainly introduces the development and design of lower place machine control. The the present situation of port and the food logistics process are analyzed in this article. According to demand, the paper puts forward the software design scheme of PLC, and then provides effective way to solve the automation control puzzle of large port grain silos. Main completed the study:the program of port food process control system, the integration research of port food control system,the management information, and the plan scheduling system.The port silos monitoring system can automatic monitor the production process, improve the safety and management level.The monitoring system has the follow characteristics:hardware system is installation fast, maintenance convenient and stable operation. Software system interface is simple, functions are comprehensive and applicable.
