Piled up for a long time, gangue will not only impact environment, causing land contamination, and the threat of vegetation growth,air pollution caused by mining, caused serious pollution surface water and groundwater, and gangue mountain collapse and the explosion of may. The statistic shows that, safety risk assessment to gangue dump in mine area is necessary to cherish and utilize land resources reasonably, to protect environment and to guarantee people's production and life safety.Piled up for a long time, gangue will not only affect the environment, but also directly or indirectly cause harm to personal safety, a security risk. Coal is mainly manifested in the specific potential hazards:Air pollution, soil pollution, surface water pollution, ground water pollution, explosion and collapse of gangue dump, radioactive contamination, etc. Therefore, the knowledge of the harm of gangue dump is not enough just on surface, for it should be studied from the point of safe production and should be controlled and managed strictly. Using AHP to determine the potential dangers caused by coal gangue dump every evaluation index weight and has established three levels, compare seven potential risk factors, through analysis of coal gangue dump explosion as the largest credible accident: Application of Fault Tree Analysis of coal gangue dump explosion to the greatest credible accident further qualitatively and quantitatively calculated, structural importance of the highest two factors, all by climate and environment conditions caused; Finally application of Fuzzy mathematics multi-grade fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory of coal gangue dump overall risk assessment. The research in this paper show that using AHP and Fault Tree Analysis Method can identify coal gangue dump potentially dangerous, application multi-grade fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of coal gangue dump can for safety assessment.
